The content cannot be displayed because you do not have authorisation to view this content. Europski uvoz ugljena više nije zanemariv. U protekle dvije godine se udvostručio i dalje raste. To su sad već razine 30-40% kineskog uvoza.
-
-
Nije cak ni poanta koliko vise ugljena skoro, ne sumnjivo bit ce veci, veci naglasak je na rast ton milja zbog supstitucije dobavljaca

Ovo je dosta zanimljivo.

Chinas Planned investment this year amounts to at least 14.8 trillion yuan ($2.3 trillion), according to a Bloomberg. That’s more than double the new spending in the infrastructure package the U.S. Congress approved last year.

Japan will impose a ban on coal imports as part of additional sanctions against Russia following the latest commitment by leaders of the G-7 nations, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said April 8, marking the country’s first commitment to curb any commodity imports from Russia.
“We will reduce our dependency on Russia in the energy sector by reducing the [coal] imports in phases as well as quickly securing alternative solutions,” Kishida told a press conference.
G-7 nations aim to expedite efforts to cut reliance on Russian energy, including phasing out and banning Russian coal imports and cutting Russian oil dependency, the leaders said in a joint statement April 7.
“Japan will not only ban the coal imports but also step into reducing the Russian dependency in overall energy including oil,” Kishida said.
Russia was Japan’s third-largest coal supplier in 2021 after Australia and Indonesia, importing 19.734 million mt of Russian coal in 2021, or 11% of the country’s total imports of 182.629 million mt, according to finance ministry data.
Russia supplied 4% of Japan’s total crude oil imports of 2.48 million b/d in 2021, with the Middle East supplying 92% of the inflows, the data showed.
Japan, S.Korea coal users cut Russian imports, seek alternatives | Hellenic Shipping News Worldwide
At least two utilities in Japan and South Korea have halted Russian coal imports in recent months and others may have to follow suit and join a scramble for new sources if sanctions are expanded, analysts and company officials said.
The two nations combined take about one-fifth of Russia’s coal exports, its biggest customers after China, and if the EU follows through on a proposal to stop using Russian coal they will likely face pressure for similar steps, intensifying the competition for limited alternative supplies.
“An EU ban would likely force importers in the EU, Japan and South Korea to cut their reliance on Russian thermal and coking coal,” CBA analyst Vivek Dhar said in note.
Japan’s Kyushu Electric Power Co Inc 9508.T had already stopped buying Russian coal as of end-March, a company spokesperson said, citing the risk of supply disruptions after initial sanctions on Moscow. The company bought 7% of its thermal coal from Russia in the year to March of last year.
The utility is procuring alternative supplies from other regions, he added, without specifying where.
“We have no plan to buy Russian coal this financial year, either,” he said.
In South Korea, at least one unit of state utility Korea Electric Power Corp (KEPCO) began diversifying coal import sources away from Russia in February, a source with knowledge of the matter said.
EU countries hunt for global coal stocks as Russian ban looms | Hellenic Shipping News Worldwide
In March, European countries imported a total of 7.1 million tonnes of thermal coal, which is used in power and heat generation, a 40.5% increase year-on-year and the highest level since March 2019, analysis from shipbroker Braemar ACM, based on ship tracking data, found.
“Despite Russian coal shipments to Europe in March still continuing at pre-war levels, the expected alteration in coal flows into Europe has started to show,” Braemar dry bulk analyst Mark Nugent said.
“Shipments from Colombia and the United States have been strong in response to the conflict with Atlantic suppliers providing the most cost-efficient alternative for European end-users.”
The EU depends on Russia for around 45% of its coal imports, 45% of its gas imports and around 25% of its oil imports, according to the European Commission website.
EU envoys are set to approve on Thursday a ban on Russian coal that would take full effect from mid-August, a month later than initially planned, two EU sources told Reuters, following pressure from Germany to delay the measure
Braemar data showed 3.5 million tonnes of Russian thermal coal were imported into the EU in March, the highest monthly total since October 2020.
On a weekly basis, March 28-April 1 saw the highest levels of Russian thermal coal imports since the Feb. 24 invasion began, with 887,000 tonnes of Russian thermal coal imported into the EU, according to Braemar.German coal importers’ group VDKi on Wednesday said the country should be able to find alternatives to Russian hard coal imports by the peak demand winter season, but there will be technical issues and increased costs.
“Alternatives to Russian coal do exist but will be costly,” consultancy Eurasia Group said in a note on Wednesday.
Thermal coal imports from Colombia totalled 1.3 million tonnes in March, rising by 47.3% year-on-year, Braemar data showed.
Imports from the U.S. in March totalled 809,000 tonnes, rising by 30.3% year-on-year and at their highest level since October 2019.
Australia has also found renewed buying interest from Europe, with thermal coal imports totalling 537,000 tonnes in the first quarter of this year, versus no shipments over the same period in 2021, Braemar said.
But Indonesia and Australia, among the world’s top coal exporters, have hit their production limits and are unlikely to meet Europe’s demand for additional supplies if the European Union bans Russian coal imports, mining executives said.
China coal importers to cut purchases amid record domestic output | Hellenic Shipping News Worldwide
China, the world’s top coal importer, may cut imports by up to 30per cent this year as domestic output holds at record levels and strong demand for non-Russian supplies keeps import prices above those in the local market, industry sources said.
The drop in China’s coal imports may help cap global prices that are expected to surge as buyers in Europe and North Asia try to replace lost Russian shipments.
Energy consultancies forecast China’s thermal coal imports could drop between 11per cent and 30per cent this year as the strong import prices cool demand.
“The market is very quiet. Buyers are reluctant to make deals as seaborne prices are still higher than domestic prices,” said a Beijing-based coal trader.
Australian thermal coal futures linked to benchmark Newcastle prices reached $281.65 a tonne on Friday, while China’s Zhengzhou coal futures were less than half that at 802.4 yuan ($126.15) a tonne.
