    Ciklusi se u brodarstvu obično dijele na kratkoročne (Kitchinove cikluse) u trajanju
    od tri do četiri godine i srednjoročne ili investicijske (Juglarove cikluse) trajanja oko deset
    godina. Ta se podjela temelji na sličnosti ciklusa u brodarstvu s općim gospodarskim
    ciklusima.
    Brod nije jedinstven proizvod, pa prilikom tumačenja cikličkih promjena treba biti
    usredotočen na vrstu i veličinu broda. Osim navedenog, postoje još neki čimbenici koje
    brokeri na brodarskom tržištu trebaju uzeti u obzir. Presudan čimbenik jest da
    brodarstvo nastoji biti tradicionalno i konzervativno u svojim stavovima i perspektivama.
    To se naročito vidi kod vodećih brodara koji nastoje svoje stavove zadržati za sebe, pa
    im problemi i nesposobnost ograničavaju uslugu na tržištu. Brodarstvo nije disciplinirana
    industrija, daleko je od transparentne industrije, sa elementima tajnosti te je više vođeno
    osjećajima nego čvrstim činjenicama.
    Nepredvidivo cikličko kretanje tržišta ima još jednu dimenziju, a to je fenomen
    poznat u psihologiji kao „ludilo mase“. Psiholog LeBon otkrio je da sposobnost ljudskog
    bića opada kad se priključi grupi jer je sklon nekritički usvojiti zajednički stav. U grupi

    čovjek često postaje sklon predimenzioniranju i iracionalnom mišljenju. Što je grupa
    veća, čovjek je sve iracionalniji. Ljudi će „ u orkestru“ sa drugim iz svoje skupine učiniti
    ono što sami nikada ne bi napravili. Ovakvo ponašanje zajedničko je različitim
    skupinama poslovnih ljudi, pa tako i brodarima. Makar su tržišni konkurenti, oni
    pripadaju istoj grupi, imaju iste probleme i razumiju se vrlo dobro, pa pomno prate i
    zagledavaju jedan drugome u poslove. S posebnom pozornošću prate se uspješni
    brodari - predvodnici.

    Kad je tržište u konjukturi, vozarine visoke, prinosi stalni i stabilni, a profiti veliki,
    brodari dobivaju snažan osjećaj pouzdanosti i sigurnosti. Najčešće predvodnici krenu
    prvi u utrku investiranja, a zatim ih slijede ostali.

    očekujem i pozivam najveće oponente koji su zagovornici pesimizma na atpl da se odluče sami sebi dati na vjerodostojnosti iznošenjem vlastitih targeta, u protivnom ih neću moći uzimati za komentatore koji i misle ono što pišu.

    oni koji za sebe drže da su dobri poznavaoci sektora nebi smjeli imati problema sa time.

    EEXI or Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index is the next big thing in shipping and it's implications can be bigger than double hull or certainly IMO 2020. EEXI is similar to the vehicle emission rules, but just that its global in scope and applies to existing ships (new ships part of a EEDI system). No doubt a lot of owners with old inefficient ships will have a hard time adapting.
