[Return visit of representatives of Iraqi Karbala region to IGH]
After an initial visit to Iraq back in March 2021, where representatives from IGH Robert Petrosyan, president of IGH MB, and Adil Kerim, Project manager, visited the Karbala region supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq, representatives of the Karbala region came to Zagreb for the return visit.
Mr. Ali Al Mayali, 1st. Deputy Governor of Karbala stated that during our visit to Karbala we saw a lot of things that need to be improved and that he would like for us to have an active role in the development of Karbala through the projects that will be soon announced or through the plans of future projects. He mentioned that regional authorities would support IGH through official support of establishing a legal entity in Karbala as a Branch or joint venture with a local company so we would be involved in the projects, mainly in infrastructure and traffic solutions.
Mr. Ali Al Mayali was accompanied by Mr. Amer Al Fatlawi, Charge D affairs of the Iraqi embassy in Zagreb, Mr. Ahmed Mahel, Head of Investment Chamber of Karbala, and Mr.Haytham Al Mayali, a local businessman from Karbala.
Besides Karbala, Institut IGH d.d. IGH is keeping a close eye on infrastructure projects near cities of Bagdad and Basra.

[NEW SUPERVISION CONTRACT IN NORTH MACEDONIA]
Institut IGH d.d. in a Joint Venture with Institut za Patishta Ltd. and Geotechnics, Projects & Consulting Ltd. has been awarded a new contract with Public Enterprise for State Roads of North Macedonia in the total amount of EUR 633,000.
The construction of this section will enable safer and better-quality traffic for the local community.
Over the next 24 months, IGH with its partners will be providing #supervision services for the construction of Regional Road R2246,
section Izvor (Junction with A2) – Garski Most, which is 19km long.
The project is to be executed based on FIDIC Conditions of Contract.
After the devastating earthquake that hit Sisačko -Moslavačka County, extraordinary flood defence measures were declared. After a temporary solution, now it is time to start the #rehabilitation of damages.
Institut IGH d.d. has signed two contracts with Hrvatske Vode for the design of the rehabilitation of the damaged embankments and flood relief channel.
The design project that will enable the complete rehabilitation of the right embankment of the flood relief channel Lonja Strug and the left bank of the Sava embankment near Sisak consists of:
The project aims to provide the entire flood defence system in the mentioned areas. We are always glad when we are able with our expertise to contribute to areas affected by a devastating earthquake.
Within the EBRD financed Phase II, IGH, and its JV partners are to extend their supervision services on the Banja Luka Water Project over the next 24 months.

[ IGH project managing construction of the biggest science and healthcare infrastructure project in Croatia ]
Construction of a Centre of Competence for Translational Medicine (CCTM) at the Children’s Hospital Srebrnjak in Zagreb has started with preparation works on the construction site itself. This 432 million HRK worth of investment, 85% of which is funded by the EU will include the construction and equipment of a new ward building that will extend to 14.000 m2.
The primary goal of the Center will be high-quality research that will enable the improvement of existing and the development of completely new diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to frequent childhood diseases, primarily in the fields of pediatric allergology, immunology, and pulmonology.
Institut IGH d.d. is providing construction project management services for this important infrastructure project for Zagreb, Croatia, and the whole region.

A total of HRK 61 million is being invested in the entire renovation, and more than half of the said money comes from EU funds. After the renovation, Tikveš will be a Presentation and Education Center equipped with modern technology. They plan to open their doors to all visitors by the end of this year, and with the help of VR glasses, you will be able to see how people used to live in the area.

In March 2021 construction of the Spent Fuel Dry Storage Building has begun and on this project, we are also partnering by providing supervision services during construction which include: supervision over steel and concrete structures - including geo-mechanical and geodetic supervision.
At the moment we are finalizing our activities related to the supervision of the construction of Bunker Building 2 (BB2).
