The Supramax segment was subjected to some rapid and profound
changes this week which come as a direct result of the war in
Ukraine. Simply put, with several Black Sea ports winding down their
operations or being under siege, cargo flows have been reversed
overnight, meaning that east bound trades from the Atlantic to the
Pacific which were traditionally considered as fronthauls are now
effectively becoming backhauls and vice versa. The newly created
inefficiencies tend to add tone-miles on the overall result, hence

Full year 2021 earnings: Revenues and EPS in line with analyst expectations
Full year 2021 results:
EPS: Kn194 (up from Kn176 in FY 2020).
Revenue: Kn138.0m (up 48% from FY 2020).
Net income: Kn106.1m (up 9.9% from FY 2020).
Profit margin: 77% (down from 104% in FY 2020). The decrease in margin was primarily driven by lower expenses.
Revenue was in line with analyst estimates.
Over the last 3 years on average, earnings per share has increased by 114% per year but the company’s share price has only increased by 25% per year, which means it is significantly lagging earnings growth.
