- Legal Marijuana. As you can imagine, any time the government opens up a huge new market like legal marijuana, investors can win very big.
Canada’s path to fully legalized marijuana is set. The law has been passed and went into effect on October 17, 2018. Our neighbor to the north is the first major economy to legalize marijuana at the recreational level. It puts Canada at the forefront of what will be a global trend for decades.
In the U.S., 33 states, along with Washington, D.C., have legalized medical marijuana. Ten states and D.C. have legalized it for recreational use.
No matter what your opinion, the prohibition of marijuana is a dying cause. Its growing acceptance and usage will lead to huge profits that you simply cannot ignore.
- Self-Driving and Electric Vehicles. The car as we know it is on the verge of a transformative change not seen since it was invented.
In fact, the whole transportation sector is now poised for its own version of 2.0. I’m not exaggerating when I say this will lead to trillions of dollars in money sloshing around in the coming decades.
As exciting as the future of electric cars and batteries is, self-driving cars have the potential to make you even more money. Autonomous vehicles are already on our roads in limited numbers, and the story is just now beginning. This is one of those rare opportunities to get into a powerful investment theme on the ground floor.
- Legal Sports Gambling. On May 14, 2018, New Jersey and other gambling supporting states got what they wanted. That’s when the Supreme Court ruled by a 6-to-3 margin to eliminate the 1992 federal law prohibiting nearly every state from allowing sports betting. The decision is now up to each individual state.
Since Delaware opened its doors to sports gambling in June of 2018, there have been a few other states looking to be among the first to capitalize on the opportunity. As of June 2018, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Mississippi, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania had approved some level of sports gambling, joining Nevada and Delaware.
It’s only a matter of time until most states offer some level of sports gambling—because they won’t want to miss out on the new stream of tax revenue to other states. The trend is clearly in motion, and everything points to a strong boom in sports gambling after the monumental decision by the Supreme Court.
Good luck!
